GAME RECAP

Down 8-7 with only 1:10 left to play in the game, the GOM scored 2 goals to take the lead 9-8. The tying goal was a highlight reel goal, a beautiful tic-tac-toe effort from Dave Shaw, to Aarron Hindman and capped off with the goal by Bobby Moore. But right at the final whistle, Aarron Hindman took a holding penalty, allowing the Chronic Crusaders one last chance to tie the game up and force overtime. Tony Jaksitz came up with the save and the GOM won the Bronze Medal game 9-8. Dave Shaw and Bobby Moore led the way offensively, scoring 5 points each, including a hat-trick for each of them. But everyone on the team gave a gutsy effort to mount the huge comeback and contributed to the victory.

We would like to congratulate every member of the 2007-08 Grumpy Old Men on our Bronze Medal Championship victory! This was a complete team effort, and the committment that this team showed right from the start of the playoffs was incredible, and the results showed it! We had a great time this Winter season, and are pleased to have shared this time with all of you. All the best to all of you in your Summer League endeavours and maybe we'll see you all again this time next year!!!
